File Uploads

The following file uploads attached to your application must not exceed 30 MB total. If the combined files exceed 30 MB, your application will generate an error message and will not be processed.  

A max 3-page PDF including your academic background, degree in architecture and date, and a brief outline of professional experience that includes roles in projects and/or firms.

Portfolios should demonstrate a range of the applicant’s design projects. The portfolio should be no longer than 10 pages and the file limit is 5MB. Samples are expected to be of professional quality and are important factors in the evaluation process.

Supporting material may consist of additional background information about the applicant, destination, or topic of interest.

Letters of Recommendation

Two letters of recommendation must be signed and on letterhead. Letters should be written in support of the proposed travel plans and attest to the applicant’s capability and professional promise. One letter must be written by a member of the American Institute for Architects (AIA).


Press and Promotional Materials



Please upload images for promotional use by the Center for Architecture in the event that your project is awarded. One image must be a headshot of the applicant. Other images may include project renderings, illustrations, photographs, and more. Horizontal images are preferred.
