Statement of Purpose


Statements should briefly inform the committee of the applicant's plan for pursuing professional licensure and how this award will assist in these efforts.

The 2030 Fund is intended to increase the number of licensed BIPOC architects in the United States. In the space below, please indicate how you identify.

File Uploads

The following file uploads attached to your application must not exceed 30 MB total. If the combined files exceed 30 MB, your application will generate an error message and will not be processed.

All PDF files should be saved in the following format: 2030 Fund_Applicant’s Last Name (e.g., 2030 Fund_Nguyen.pdf).

Proof of Outstanding Loan Balance

Applicants must have current outstanding student loan balance. A document from your student loan service provider containing both the applicant’s name and the amount of outstanding student loan balance should be submitted as a PDF.


Proof of Licensure

Applicants must submit a PDF receipt confirming that they have paid for their NCARB record.


Reference Form


One professional reference with whom the applicant has worked must fill out this completed reference form. Please upload the completed reference form below.

If necessary, your reference may email the completed form directly to scholarships@centerforarchitecture.org prior to the application deadline.

Press and Promotions


In the event that this applicant is awarded, the applicant's bio and headshot are requested for the purposes of award press coverage and promotion by AIA New York and the Center for Architecture.
